Tobias Growler volume pot!

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi TB

I have a Tobias Growler 4 string (1997) the one with the stacked tone controls and the two midrange switches, the thing is, it needs a new volume pot and the one inside now is not the original (was changed many years ago) The reason I want to change it is, that it has never worked 100% it hums if I take the volume down.

I would appreciate if anybody knows what pot to get (I know there is an issue with ohm etc).

I tried emailing Gibson customer service with no luck.

Thank you
Kind Regards
Anders

Do you know what value is your pot?
Try a new 250k and see how that works.

No I don't know the value, that was my reason for asking, I will try a 250k, thank you for answering. BTW. What do the k stands for?

Anders

k = kilo = 1000

250k = 250,000 ohms
