| Tube Replacement for Ampeg 6 Pro
Hi,
I need to retube an Ampeg 6 Pro. The tube compliment for the Ampeg 6 Pro is 5-12AX7s & 2-12 AU7s. I contacted Ampeg regarding which tubes I will need as there are all kinds of 12 AX7s and 12 AU7s with different characteristics. Ampeg says that tubes that were used in these amps were either Ruby, Sovtek, or Groove Tubes. Has anyone got a 6 Pro that they purchased brand new ... if so, what tubes are currently in the unit. If not, has anyone retubed their 6 Pro? What did you use? Thank you. |
