Two DiMarzio Model Ones on a bass?

Has any one here ever installed two DiMarzio Model One Pickups on a bass? Thoughts?

I've never seen it done on TB or elsewhere. I do wonder how good it'd sound.

I always wonder what it would sound like if you swapped the pickups round in an EB-3 or similar. The sidewinder/mudbucker pickup might make a better bridge pickup.

Will be interesting to see if anybody has done this.

Sounded kind of dull, but it was a dull sounding bass acoustically (which is why it was carved up a lot) and I had a pretty dark cab (Aguilar GS412).

The impedances would match up and so that would help you balance the 2 pickups - the output.

Wish they made a bass sound like a Wal, I'd grab a pair for sure.

I'm totally aware that there is more to Wals than the pickups...man has a right to dream though!
