I just came across this thing and thought it was pretty neat. Thought I would share it.

It is supposed to help prevent excessive treble loss as volume goes down.

It's a standard kind of treble-bleed circuit, but for $10 you get a really nifty well-made circuit board that sticks to the back of the pot. Really great to "solidify" that mess inside your control cavity. Vibration and stuff shaking around is always a problem with instruments that are always getting dragged around. This thing is definitely worth the effort just for the reliability it adds over the usual loose parts. And it's variable too.

I like it! I like the other stuff they sell too.

Variable Treble Bleed Circuit

We have been using the PMT variable treble bleed board in our repair shop for a while now. It works great for matching the volume pot load tone loss compensation to the input impedance of the customer’s amp. Guys that play clean at high volume love it because the sound does not muddy up at lower volumes without getting too thin. Oddly enough, when using it with distortion our customers have noticed that it has a cool effect of being able to adjust how clean the guitar will get as the volume is reduced giving better control over when how will break up when using the volume. Not sure if that was a design feature or just a great side effect. BTW Has anyone tried or heard anything on their Dual Mode Tone control pot for bass? We have instaled a few of the guitar versions but most guitar players don't use the tone control as much as bass players do. Any feedback from anyone??
