Victor wooten's preamp

I thought Vic used a mike pope preamp, but I heard he actually uses hazlab. Which is it?

He has more than one bass with various different preamps. His Yin Yang has mine in it. Most of his Fodera's do. There are one or two that have HAZ pre's.

Most of the ones that he plays regularly are the Pope / Fodera Pre. "Number 1," which is Fodera Serial Number 37 still has the original HAZ Pre in it. Vic has retired that from touring, however, because of its sentimental value...
