Hey there fellow TBers!
I am curious to know if vintage jazz pups (70s) would fit in a Geddy Lee? Anyone try doing this? Any input would be appreciated!
Cheers

Yes they'll fit. Then you can send me the old ones.

Forgot to ask what would be an ideal reading for each pick-up? The ones i can get hover around the mid to high 7.
Thanks for any help!

Just out of curiosity, why do you want to replace the Geddy pickups with the same pickups that come in it?

I want to put in 1978 jazz pick-ups (grey bobbins) to hopefully
create a nicer tone to the Geddy. Don't get me wrong the stock
pick-ups sound great thru my '75 ampeg svt but i'm always looking
to "improve" the tone in any which way!
Like i said if i do make the swap on my bass i will give you the stock
ones as i will be in NYC at the end of march for 4 days

Oh now I understand. You meant actual vintage pickups. I thought you meant Fender (R) Vintage Jazz Bass Pickups (TM)!
