Vintage Peavey Fury Slant Pickup

Is the slanted pickup an older style for Peavey? Any opinions on these pickups? Are they reliable, good tone etc. I'm new to Basses and looking to learn more. May buy a very affordable older USA Fury...

Yes it is an older version 80's it was the replacement for Pv's T-20 single pickup bass. The pickup used is a "Super-Ferrite" single coil, a very fine sounding pickup, same pickup used on early Foundation and Dyna Basses. IMO PV basses are all sleeping bargain giants, Fury is no exception. FWIW those old bullet style injection molded cases are the bomb, lots of protection for little bulk and weight, much better than the later "SKB" cases that later went to. .
