Volume issue EMG solderless J bass set

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi,

I have a volume issue with my new EMG solderless J bass set.

I installed them in my jazz bass(volume/volume/tone)

I'm using the V+ supply buss (not the one with the selector switch), but it seems like the pickups aren't getting any juice from the battery.(a new one)
I have to crank my amp all the way up to get some volume, and when I unplugged the battery there wasn't any volume drop.
So basically I 'm getting the same volume from the pickups with or without a battery.

Strange. Can somebody help me out please

Sounds like you have the clips connected to the pickups backwards. Or you have something else hooked up backwards. With no battery the pickups should not work.
