| volume loss on G&L

i Have a g&l tribute jb-2, and when i put the tone knob all the way down it essentially cuts my volume in half. So i looked inside the and no wires were un-soldered, i also tightened to input because it was loose but none of that helped. So I think i might have to replace the whole input jack. So do any of you guys have any idea if that could be the problem or not? thanks for help. =)
