Question Volume pot not working

Sign in to disble this ad
I have a standard parts precision bass w/ a Seymour Duncan SPB-1 Vintage precision bass pickup. I used the wiring diagram, which is the same as the wiring on a Fender American standard pbass but the volume pot will not decrease the volume at all. I'm using two brand new CTS 250k audio taper pots for volume and tone, wired exactly as the diagram says, i'm getting full volume and the tone control works but there's just no decrease in volume no matter where the volume pot is at. I don't think it's a wiring issue at this point, maybe replacement is the only option but I just wanted to see if anyone might be able to offer any insight.
