Volume problem...

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm playing a Fender Jazz with Seymour Duncan Antiquity II pups through a MusicMan HD150 head. I'm using an EBS Multicomp compressor and a BBE sonic stomp. For the most part, I use the neck pup only, with the tone dialed halfway. When I go to the G string, anywhere on the fretboard, volume drops significantly. Help?

Try raising or lowering that end of the pickup; also try raising or lowering the G bridge saddle; also try a different G string, sometimes an individual string is bunk.

It looks like I have room to raise the lower end of the pickup; I'll give that a whirl. The G saddle is already as low as it can go; I've had the same problem with several sets of strings...I'll report back in a day or two.
