Volume/Tone combo blending pots on a jazz

Any opinions on vol/tone blending pots on a j-bass? Thinking about replacing v/v/t pots with the v/t v/t. Am I making any since?

Sure, the original Jazz stacked setup: looks cool. You'll have an extra hole though but you can buy a three hole plate.

Lots of existing threads regarding the trade-offs involved with VVT, VBT, and dual VT. Read through them to sift out the misinformation (like yep tone controls let you individually adjust tone for either PUP, like a blend has both PUPs at half volume at the center, etc) and find the true stuff.

The main issue is tone control interaction. Remedying this requires the use of resistors or buffering. Both carry disadvantages. As JTE said, search this up.

I did it on my bass, you have to roll off the volume a bit to isolate them but I love it. It's so, so much better than an EQ IMO.
