Wah Pedal - 9V connector

Sign in to disble this ad
I've got Dunlop Q105 Bass Wah pedal (purchased in a less than satisfactory transaction here on TB - more on that later).

Anyway, the 9V battery clip that terminates on the main board is missing. The board has a 3-pin (male) connector on it.

The Dunlop website does not list the 9-volt connector as a replacement part. I went to Radio Shack, but they only have 9-Volt battery leads (without the 3-prong [female] connector). Bought a few, but I really don't want to solder anything permanently.

Any suggestions or help as to how I can overcome this problem? I can go buy another 1-spot, but I'm looking to get the battery option fixed.

I'd use the wall wart I bought with the pedal, but the seller did not include it with the pedal (although it was listed), and subsequently sold it to someone else. It's actually a good business model - sell the same item more than once. This transaction should have pissed me off worse than it has, but I've purchased many, many things sight unseen and this is the only issue I've ever had. I figure I had it coming at some point.

Thanks for any help.

Steve

Bump for any suggestions - I don't work tomorrow and I'd love to get this fixed.

You should be able to buy one of the little female 3 pin connectors you speak of from Radio Shack, then its a simple case of connecting it to the battery snap and sealing it with a bit of heat shrink.
