I have one of those battery things sitting in my junk drawer. That's totally doable. Wonder how long those A23 batteries last.

Im assuming they wont last as long as a 9 volt but its a good way to test if its worth doing the 18 volt mod or if space for 2 batteries is an issue

IME, 18V is only a necessity with 5-strings, or basses with exceptionally loud acoustic output. At 9V, those instruments will fart out at the low end.

I had an Ibanez, and I used a portion of the control cavity to install an 18V battery box.


With, a set of P's, 35DC and BQC, I was cooking with Crisco at 18 volts!
