Want to add a pup to a jazz

I got a Squier VM jazz and I feel I want a pick up right at the neck, but what to choose? I'm curious about Dimarzio Model 1 and Darkstars but don't know much about either. Any advice?

Personally I'd stick with a J-style pup, anything else always looks pretty dumb IMO. Just throw something in there, there's too many variables as it is.
