I'm looking at maybe getting some new pickups and a new preamp for my Warwick Rockbass, but I'm not sure what to get. Will changing the MEC golds destroy the "sound of wood" that I get from the Vette?
I'm wanting some good versatility in tone and the stock preamp isn't really cutting it for me. I want a good slap tone, which, obviously I can get, but it doesn't really give me good smooth tones for older stuff that I might want to play. |
