I just got a SGD "Deep" Sidewinder pickup to replace the neck EMG-HZ in my Dean 12. Pretty big improvement in tone. I would describe it as "warm and smooth" but also really clear. Barts might be another good choice, their soapbars always sounded kind of fat and a little subdued in the highs to me.

Oh, that was for a 12 string? I'd love to hear that!

[edit] I'd also like to point out that the neo humbuckers are warmer and fatter sounding.

I'm working on some songs right now, and when I'm happy with the sound (still need to drop in an Audere pre) I'll be sure to post something.

PS-I still need to switch the bridge pup-Do you think a Sidewinder in the neck would play well with a Neo in the bridge?

PSS-Sorry for the slight thread derail!
