Warwick owners who upgraded from MEC

Sign in to disble this ad
Are there any Warwick users out there in TB land who upgraded from the stock MEC push/pull active electronics on their bass who might want to get rid of the stock electronics cheap? I picked up an 04 Vette Std to replace my previously owned 05 Vette which had the A/P Mecs electronics while the new one has passives... I loved the active tone of the MEC when I had it in my old bass and was wanting to put those electronics in my new Vette... I figured alot of Warwick owners aren't so hot on those A/P MECs so I might be able to score those elecs on here. PM me or reply here if you have them

Bump for shared interest. My Thumb needs an electronics overhaul and I'm convinced MEC's pots have horrible QC based on the large number of threads here and on Warwick's forums complaining about MEC. I'd wager Audere would be the best substitute.

I had a Fortress Masterman that I removed the electronics from. It was a vol/balance stack with 2 separate bass/treb stacks for each side of the Dual J pickup...

When I put them back in, one of the stacks was fried. Rewired them to the single stack and called it a day.

They have great preamps on paper, but the components are sensitive.

There is a "Wanted" section in the classifieds here and it's open to all members to use. I've had a lot of success finding stuff from TB'ers on there lately. You may want to post up there, too.
