Warwick pick ups

I have always like the sound and tone of Warwicks but always had the one question. Why do they slant their pick ups like not have them perpendicular to the directions of the strings. I don't have any issues just wondering

I suppose to tighten up the low notes. Not all Warwicks do. Streamers don't. Thumbs and Dolphins do.

it's just their own little twist on pickup placement. one of the subtleties that's part of their unique sound. they probably tried it out in R&D and said oh that sounds cool, and then started selling it.

i really think because it looks slick. while i love my 'wicks, i did do after market pups/preamps.
