Warwick pre, what tonal differences

Sign in to disble this ad
Hello all. I have an active 97 Warwick vette 4 that I would like to replace the pre-amp in. I have put in Bart pups that I really like, but feel I want a different pre-amp as well. (it is likely just that disease of looking for perfect tone, instead of just practicing).
Anyway, I wonder if anyone might elaborate on what differences I might hear between the obp-3 or a Bart pre., or direct me to a thread that has already covered this.
Thanks,

See Dimento's "onboard" preamp in FAQ

Also you may find the Bass Mod Link in the first sentence of this thread of some use: DIMENTO'S BASIC TROUBLE-SHOOTING GUIDE
