Anyone know where I can get a stock preamp for a Warwick Streamer Stage II?? I need it very badly. Willing to pay $$. I've tried going through Warwick/Dana B. Goods, but to know avail. PM me if you can help.  |

That's exactly the same problem I have and I can tell you, exchanging the preamp to a new MEC DOESN'T help...
My last hope is a conversion to 18V or a SD STC-3A preamp, because I know a guy whose distortion dissappeared after isntalling the SD preamp.

Tyler's the man! He's even given me parts for free before. Recently, he only charged me $100 for a brand new lined-fretless Corvette Standard neck--including the labor to put it on, put strings on, and set it up.

It is supposed to sense that a cord is plugged in and engage the circuit, but if something is shorting out it'll think its on all the time and drain the battery.
A local tech should be able to take care of it.
