Warwick Thumb BO 4 system renovation

I have been tossing around the idea to upgrade my entire electronic system, preamp and pickups. For the longest time I have been looking for a tone that just hasn't been found. Like most of us, I am trying to get as close to a Fodera bass tone without spending $10,000 on a bass. So, I figured I'd research a bit and see what Fodera uses. Aero pickups, don't know much about them besides that they will end up costing me around $80-$110 each without a cover. I emailed Mike Pope on what he would suggest on my current 2-band EQ with a volume pull switch the deactivates the onboard preamp tone controls, as well as the pickup balance and stacked treble/bass configuration. I have yet heard back from him (partially due to that I just emailed him my idea about.. 15 minutes ago).

I'm just a little curious as to what some of your other Warwick players think about upgrading your Thumb BO 4 string or anyone who has had experience using Aero pickups and mike pope preamps that are not already on a Fodera bass.

LOL, I just posted a similar thread about my Streamer Jazzman!

I think the bass sounds fine, but I also think it could be much better with a new preamp. I just don't know, though.
