Washburn bass replacement pups

Sign in to disble this ad
the picups on this one are oddly shaped...and its a 6 string

http://www.dcmusicstore.com/Washburn...4Pa38Ta38Pbxf0

anybody know of any companies that would makegood pickups in that shape? Washburn makes good stuff but if i got it i would want new pickups and a new preamp.

Would it be better to just buy a nicer 6 string or would it be cool to do that?

i also had a conklin groove tools bill dickens on my mind...what do you guys think?

Washburn makes nice basses. I bet you could find replacement pickups like that. The top one looks kinda like a jazz bass pickup I think.

yeah but the problem is that it is a 6 string jazz pickup...and the bottom one looks like a 6 string peavey cirrus pickup! i like the way that bass looks, and i love the price i get on it! but, im not so happy with washburns pres and pickups

i agree with the quality of washburn pups and preamps, they kinda suck, im pretty sure the format of the bigger pickup is called double jazz, just like the one the use on the fender deluxe V i saw a couple on ebay but only for 4 strings, or maybe if you get "normal" jazz pups for six strings and cut off the holders and stick it together...

good luck

I've got a Washburn Force 4 ABT in natural bubinga....neck thru....SWEET bass !

I was about to grab some new pickups for it thinking they were the issue until someone on the Washburn Forum pointed out that they are made for Washburn by Bartolini................

So I kept the pickups & opted for an upgraded Glockenklang 2-band EQ.

Maybe check the Washburn Forum for an answer

Good looking 6-er BTW

Agreed, my Force 4 continues to this day to be my favorite bass I've ever played. I haven't noticed any issues with my preamp, what was wrong with yours?
