Way to increase bottom-end articulation?

I have a Schecter Bass VI. The articulation of the bottom 2 -3 strings is real mushy rumble. Apparently it's one of the problems with the breed.

Is there anyway to increase the articulation of the bottom end? I'm thinking Bass cut control, midrange boost control...more tone options something that doesn't involve switching out the pickups.

Try using a graphic EQ. Reduce the lower mids and add a touch of high mids for definition. If the sound is still muddy and unclear, replacing the pickups is the only option
