Sign in to disble this ad
Im putting a bass together from scatch and i have the body and neck and also the pickups routed. a p bass and a humbucker pickup. the thing is im just gonna have 2 vol and no tone control. i have a standard fender type bridge but do i need to drill a hole from the control cavity to where the bridge is to ground the pickups? or can i ground the pickups from inside the control cavity?

FWIW:

google audere preamps, go to FAQ and pup shielding (or something like that).

You just run the ground out the pup wire tunnel with the pup leads.
