I have a bart pre, 3 band with stacked put, Mid freq ontop then mid boost/cut on the bottom, and whenever I turn the knob I get this really nasty crackle, Any Ideas?
It could be a lot of things but I'd go with the easy one first.
Sounds like a dusty pot. Turn the knob back and forth several times. This can help push the dust into a spot where it doesn't crackle. Get a can of air and blow out the crap and you're good to go.
