weird ground buzz?

So from what I know, usually when you take your hands off the bass, you can experience ground buzz. I have a G&L SB-2 (passive, vol+vol) and it's silent all the time, unless I touch one of the knobs, then I get buzz. If I'm playing, nothing. If I'm just touching the strings, nothing. If I'm not touching anything, nothing. Go to touch one of the knobs and buzzzzzzz.....

any insight?

You should check the grounding of the pots. I had such problems before installing an aluminium pickguard.
