weird pickup configurations

Sign in to disble this ad
anybody seen any of those vintage basses where it's got 4 single coil pickups that are "parallel" to the strings? (one for each string)

does that sound different of have any kind of benefit?

what are some other bizarre pickup-setups you've encountered, and how did they sound?
