westone thunder 1

Hi there - I have an old westone thunder 1 (passive) - just wondering if an upgraded pickup might be worth it - looking at a fender original, or maybe a seymour duncan spb-1 - any other suggestions/comments welcome

I used to own one of these and I kick myself everyday for selling it. My opinion was these were excellent punchy pickups that didnt need upgraded.

thanks - I find it a little lacking in sustain, maybe a bit muddy - I'm using it exclusively DI for recording
