I personally prefer the series ones. Along with the U-Retro deluxe preamp (East) it's one great and very versatile set

if youre seriously looking into these, id recommend calling up carey. he's one of the most helpful in the business and if you tell what your looking for youll get a straight up answer as to whether itll work or not.

I think I was the first to get a set in my Nordy. I chose the wired in Parallel. But......then I added 2 switches. 1 for each and (with a diagram from Carey) wired each for para, single, series. Its got tons of choices. The all series is just too much for me. Harsh and honky. The parallel is smooth and big with plenty of "smooth" mids. BUT, with any acive eq, as you add low and highs, the perception of mids gets lower. That being said, i really think mine sounds best with the eq set flat. I have it matched with an aggie pre and really the only time i touch the mids is to pull some out for slapping. But....each person has a personal taste. These have alot of grth, and are a BIG modern sounding pickup. They are very powerful. Interesting enough...what seems to be the main setting that i use, is, neck pup in parallel and the bridge pickup in series. It adds the thick fullness to the bridge pickup. Im sure Ive confused you. LOL.
