What Basses Do Sadowsky Preamps and PU Fit In?

Hi. I want to try Sadowsky electronics, preferably J Retro. What basses would these be easiest to install in? I'd like basses I can get for under $500 used.

im the same im guessing 4 strings jazz ones will fit directly into a fender??
