what pickups to get?

i recently decided i want to build a guitar to my exact specs, but i dont know what pickups i want. i want something super low and growly/vintage sounding. what would that be? humbuckers? musicman perhaps? also, where can i find part to buy, like a j neck and body?

Ebay would be a good place to start....necks and bodies galore on there, including original Fender

Musicman Sterling 4 string or SR-5 5 string
Low and VERY growly!
