What Pickups for my Geddy

Sign in to disble this ad
The stock pickups on my Geddy could use a little zing. I don't want to drasticly change the sound just pep it up a bit. I like Classic Rock, Funk, and Blues

my standard answer- Seymour Duncan 1/4 'ers or if you're feeling surly and a bit heavier in the wallet, Fralins will do the trick quite nicely.

Click on the first sticky on this forum, the 'J model discussion' one

I read it about a year ago, downloaded the samples and then went out and bought some Dimarzio Model J - Bassier, punchier, better with overdrive, humbucking...

geddy p/u's

maybe because I own another jazz with emg's I can go to for punch,I gotta say I love the stock p/u's in the geddy. I throw my eq pedal in there and I get a great vintage rick type sound. Granted it's def limited, but I wouldn't think of changing em. then again I'm bein kinda selfish, not sure what tone you were goin for....
