What pickups should I use for my build

Hey guys, I am going to build an old school Jazz thumper. I am starting with a 62 reissue Jazz body. I am on the fence over 2 brands, Nordstrand and Fender custom shop 60's pickups. I am going totally passive also.

I have personally never heard a Nordstrand but many of you TB's give them much love. I know Fender pickups well so they are a consideration.

I am looking for an old school John Paul Jones thumper sound complete with flats.

My question to you is what would you suggest?
