What size are my pups???

Sign in to disble this ad
I have a KSDj705 that I would like to mod with new pups. Both pups are the same length. They are just under 4". Will the 3.73" pups fit or will they be too small?

The actual measurement is 3 and 15/16". If my math is correct, that would equate to 3.94".

Maybe I'm not measuring correctly???

Help...

If so 3.73 from 3.94 = .21 which is ballpark 3/16" - 2/8": so no, not without removing a little meat.

Also it's not just the length and width of the pup but where the screw towers are (if the KS even have screw towers - don't know the pup). The screw towers for the typical neck J often won't fit a bridge J even though the length and width will.

It's normal enough for pups to vary 1/16" - between different makes of bridge J's for example. May guess is Ken knows the common pups that would fit and would tell you as much if asked. Otherwise you'll just have to check the manufacturer sites and verify the dimensions as best you can - emailing the maker if necessary.

Bump
