Lindy Fralin

I have some Fralins in my Jazz bass, and it sounds really really good. They are pretty reasonable too.

not much wrong with the stock jazz pickups IMO. I have a bass with Bartolini Jazz pickups that is warm and dark but with good note clarity. I have another bass with Dimarzio Ultra Jazz in it... very musical, very even almost HiFi tone wise... it sings nicely but can also get aggressive if I dig in. The most recent Jazz pickup I've bought was from http://www.delano.de which is my favorite so far for punch, tone and it's ability it pick up even the tiniest detail of my playing.

Exactly. You didn't indicate there was any issue with the bass not sounding good so why mess with them?
