Hard to say.

It looks to me to be a little closer to the neck than a typical one-pickup bass with the PU in the "sweet spot," like a Stingray.

It would probably be somewhat balanced in that position -- more of a neutral tone. I do think it would be difficult to get very much tonal variety out of it.

It's impossible to say.

You don't know if that's a single coil, (Well, with one pickup, it probably isn't. ) a humbucker, a split coil, a quad coil, a series humbucker, a parallel humbucker, etc.

FWIW, I would never pay $3000 for a bass with that little information published about it.

is actually $3000 (pesos) in argentina. The cost in bucks is about u$700. Is an active humbucker, the woods are exotic local woods. I was asking about what kind of tone/voice you get with only a soapbar in that position. Like a P humbucker? ..

Ah.
Well, that's still way to much money to spend on a bass with so little information given about it.
