What type of switch do I need?

Sign in to disble this ad
Hello T-bers, I'm wiring a series/parallel switch on my latest bass build (a P-bass humbucker and a Jazz bass bridge pickup, on volume, one tone), and I'm wondering what type of switch I'll need. Thanks!

You need an SPDT (single pole, double throw) switch - that is, a switch with only one "arm" you can pull which changes between one option (series) and the other (parallel).

actually I think you'll need a DPDT (dual-pole double-throw)

Yes, you need a DPDT On-On switch.

SPDT switches only work if your doing series/single coil and parallel/single coil switching.
