What would be better?

Should i get a fender jazz 5 and put the Sadowsky electronics
or should I just get a Sadowsky metro?

It's up to you and your budget. A lot of folks here feel that the Metro would be of
a superior build quality to the Fender. I haven't had a chance to ever play any Sadowsky
basses myself;but they get a lot of high marks and kudos here at TB.

I feel that going with a used Sadowsky Metro is the way to go. By the time you pay for a Fender and the cost of the Sadowsky preamp + installation costs, you wouldn't save THAT much. Used Metro 5's are going between $1550-$1850 and you won't lose a dime if you decide to re-sell later. It's like money in the bank. You also end up with a superior instrument as far as quality is concerned.
