Through several recent aquisitions in the classifieds, I have a EBMM Stingray and a Seymour Duncan MM pickup.

The Stingray is all stock and the SD pickup came wired up in series. The Ray doesnt have any switching. So how would you wire it? Leave it series or change it to parallel?

I also own a Sterling with 3 way switching on it but I cant remember what position is what on that switch.

If it were me, I'd have it wired for series and parallel. But I always like to have more options, not fewer.

Your priorities may be different...

Uh, it already has a stock MM pickup in it. Do you mean add another to make it an HH?

Play it stock and sell the Duncan pickup. It's not like Stingrays sound bad.

If you're swapping, series.

If you're running both simultaneously, install a switch.

If there's something wrong with the stock pickup wire the SD in parallel and put it in there.
If the stock is good then leave it as it is, it won't sound that different.
IMO.
