whats a good music man pickup

Sign in to disble this ad
have a mighty mite musicman style pickup in an active bass.
What would be a good replacement? I want it to have a brighter top and a bit fatter bottom, but it seems that is what most people want.

its not on a music man so even though they say mighty mite,
do cort actually use them? this is an area I know nothing about.
The tone is okay but lacks alot of bottom end. I like bottom end.

I have always have american standard p bass, and a deluxe jazz,
but the cort is a cheap light little toy. It is surprisingly become my favourite. I just want to see if i can improve the sound.
Already replaced the front jazz pup, sounds great. I just dont know where to go with the back one.

Kent Armstrong makes a great sounding one with bar magnets so you don't have the issue of pulling the string away from the pole pieces.
Here it is.

Send a message via Skype™ to depalm
Duncan, Nordstrand, Delano, Bartolini. All of these manufactures made good MM style PUs.
Do a search and find one that fits to your taste and wallet.

I choose Nordstrand.

I've been very happy with the GFS MM pickup I put in my P bass. Probably the best deal out there on a pickup.

GFS MM Pro Plus- Alnico Music Man style pickup- INCREDIBLE tone!

I wired in a Tele style three way series/split/parallel switch for greater tonal variety.
