I'm considering replacing the vintage noiseless pickups in my MIM fender P/J and my MIM fender Jazz 5 with American Vintage version by Fender. I don't plan on going outside the Fender Brand though. There are probably better pickups out there, but they'll also change the sound somewhat and keeping that authentic Fender sound is important to me. I don't know what is and is not important to you, but I guess my predisposition would be to favor the Fender pickups and if you're gonna replace them, I'd go as vintage as they have available, if that's of any help to you.
