Check out this $499 Ethernet cable from Denon.

Even better, check out the customer reviews at amazon.com.

I've programmed remotes for a few high-end home audio installs and I've run across insanely rich people that would buy this only so they could brag to their friends that they have a $500 ethernet cable.

It's Snake Oil!

People are nuts...

I do love those reviews, though.

+1 especially this one...

"Since carefully installing the Denon cables using the provided surgical gloves, my system has stablized in Hilbert space. Apparently the Denon AKDL1 performs polarized nanoscale quantum tunneling by using a custom transparent aluminum cable matrix to push parameterized vorgon particles through a dark fibre phase variant Heisenberg compensator. How they accomplish this for only $500, I don't know.

Awesome.

I love the rusty-box-cutter-closer-to-god and quantum tunneling comments

Meh... "The $800 Apple iCable is clearly superior."

+1 I love the one rating it 1 star... he said the cable didn't work well. He put an end in each ear and music sounded more muffled than without the cable
