I bought some back in 1997 and the pickup wire was molded into the pickup.
Fast forward to 2008, and the wire now plugs into the pickup.
How long ago was this change made?

Your best bet is to ask the seller to open the box and find out if it's the quick-connect version or not (surely you're not the only potential buyer wondering). Judging by the packaging, I'd venture a guess that it's not the solderless version, but it might require an email to EMG to verify that.

Fortunately, EMG sells solderless kits separately. You can also opt to have the kit include split shaft pots. I need these type pots, because my build incorporates speed knobs.
In any event, the seller got back to me, and they are the ones with quick disconnects. Purchased!

(shrugs)
