Where can I buy this sub-micro effects pedal toggle switch ? [pic inside]

Sign in to disble this ad
Found it !!!!

I need to replace this broken switch. It is 3 position. It has three terminals. I do not know if is on/on/on or on/off/on.
I am assuming on/on/on as each position controls a seperate function.

Thanks tons.

That's one of the most common switches in existence!
You should have no problem finding it at an electronics store, or online.

Do you have an ohm meter handy?
It would be easy to check the switch function with an ohm meter.

try Mouser.com, they have a large selection.
If it overwhelms you, try http://www.effectsconnection.com/

If it's an SPDT, it's probably an on/off/on.

L6M, how are on/on/on SPDT switches set up? Does it connect between lugs 1&2, 2&3, 1&3?

The center position could be off and the switch is still having an effect on the circuit.

You want an SPDT Center On switch, tho, I'm not having much luck finding any right now. Found a center off switch on US ebay.

Position 1: 1-2
Position 2: 1-2-3 for On/On/On, nothing for On/Off/On
Position 3: 2-3

You know, it doesn't have to be a SPDT.
You can use a DPDT On/On/On if you wire it correctly.

You could try some resistors to quiet the pop.

Why are you certain that it's on/on/on ?

I am not at all certain . Most likely it is on/off/on as that is all that I seem to be finding in the sub-mini toggles. On the pedal that this switch is on, each of the 3 position changes the tone so I was just assuming. I do not know this kind of wiring so clearly the center off position could be a default etc.

What pedal is it, and what are the 3 different positions?

We could maybe find a schematic and let you know what it is?
