Where can i get some good pot(s)

Sign in to disble this ad
What im looking for are pots (standard vol/vol/tone) pots for a jazz bass project that feel "solid" and do NOT turn with too little effort. Am I crazy or are there differences? On the other hand, any given supplier seems to give you the type and the ohm spec and thats it (no brand) so if their supplier changes you just end up getting whatever they have in stock

I was checking out a steve harris sig bass, and the pots felt 'rubber damped', unlike other usa fenders. Cts pots feel too loose. What kind of pots do jp fenders use?
light bulb went on in my head... I should try sticking a piece of rubberband on the pot shaft before putting the knob on.

As for the pot: Try Humboldt County, CA.

As for pot(s): I would look into the sealed design pots. Brands like Weber, Bourns, and others. The sealed pots always seem to have a more damped feel. Nice and smooth. Try Mouser Electronics, they should have choices available.
