where do i add the shielding grounds to this vvt layout?

Sign in to disble this ad
here is my current setup below except not in a jazz bass i am using linday fralin j/p neck and bridge pickups.
I have shielded the pickup cavities and wondering where i should run these wires too?.
Also even though the bridge is grounded there inteferance which goes away by moving my hands onto the strings??
i was considering shielding the pickups too but again where should these shiled wires be run too?
I am worried that my pots are grounded both on the copper shielding in the cavity aswell as the soldered ground wire on top.

so in a nutshell
1)are my pots causing a ground loop on the cavity shielding
2)what is the rules for running shielding wires to where?

thanks folks

Try removing the wire connecting the pot chassis together - see if that helps.
