Where do i put this wire? (fender jazz cs60's)

Sign in to disble this ad
So anyway, just got my custom shop jazz pickups (excited to put them in by the way). I noticed that the mounting foam it came with is attatched to a metal strip which has a wire coming off it. Im thinking maybe its for ground? Where do i wire this, the diagram isnt very helpful.

Oh, and any tips or tricks for soldering? This will be my first real experience at installing pickups.

Do you mean a ground plate? Put the plate under the pickup and connect the wire to ground.

Pictures of your problem in "macro mode", to show clearity, would probably help out the TB community.

The wire from the ground plate should connect to the back of the volume pot, or wherever you have your other grounds connected to.

Sorry for the delay in replying back. I sort of forgot about this thread after i read the question.
