Where to get Tone Pots with a Center Detent?

Sign in to disble this ad
I have a Stingray 5 with worn out pots. Bass, Mid, and Treble. 500K, I believe.

They have the center detent. Clockwise boost, counterclockwise cut.

Where do I buy pots like this, or do I have to get them from Ernie Ball?

This company should have what you need.

Is it this:

Dual mini 500k Blend/Balance Pot
Linear Taper w/center detent
ALPS , Made in Japan, 500KMN - 508G ?

I saw those, but the "Dual Mini" part throws me.

The "dual" part means that it's a stacked pot.

You'll need to look at your pots and order the same configuration as your original pots.

If it has six solder lugs, it's a stacked pot.

The only pots with a detent are stacked pots. Is this what EBMM uses?

Call EB customer service. You have to wait a whole 30 seconds for a rep,and they'll get you what you need.Stacked pots aren't the only ones with a center detent. The EB tone pots use a center detentand,of course are not stacked on the SR5.

I emailed them. Am waiting for a response.

Thought I would get faster (and more!) responses here.

It does look as though the only aftermarket pots out there with a center detent are the stacked kind.
