Where would you find THIS ground lug ?

It looks so easy for the novice. Just solder wires to the ring. Where could you find something like this ? Does it matter what its made of ?

Can't really make it out well, sort of looks homemade to me.

At any rate solder to a lock ring, solder to a hook, solder to whatever, doesn't really matter as long as it's conductive it will work as a grouding point.

When i shielded my bass, i just wrapped the ground wires around a screw and soldered them.

Get a brass eyelet with a screw threaded end from a hardware store. These are sometimes used for hanging small picture frames etc.
